Local Council Public Advisory Service offer an Affordable Data Protection Officer Service

Parish and Town Council Specific

The Data Protection Bill has been amended to exclude the requirement for Parish Councils to appoint a Data Protection Officer. This does not remove the requirement to comply with the new Data Protection regime.
We are continuing to actively support all Councils who have appointed us as DPO and all those who subscribe to our advice services.
In addition, we are happy to offer our assistance and our expertise to any Council that wishes to access it.
This can be though:
  • Appointment as the Councils Data Protection Office (as per service below)
  • Subscribing to our Advice and Support Service
  • Subscribing to our Data Protection Support Service
As a comprehensive solution for those Clerks and Parish and Town Councils who do not wish an employee to be the Data Protection Officer.

We are offering the only sector specific Data Protection Officer Service for Town and Parish Councils in England.

We really understand Councils and how they are  affected by the new Data Protection Regime.  We also recognise the burden this is placing on councils with very small precepts.  We have therefore given some thought on how we could provide a helpful but affordable service.
We offer a common sense practical service that includes a pack of documents including policies, consents and privacy notices, a check list for personal information audits, risk assessments and the steps to take for compliance by 25 May 2018.
Data Protection is not scary and we assist all Councils to compliance by taking  practical steps and giving plain English understandable advice
This is a professional and comprehensive service that is independent from our Subscription Service. Any Council may appoint us as its Data Protection Officer should it wish.
